Majority of the members in the Nandom Women’s Weaving Association attended St. Anne’s Vocation School. For them joining the association is an extension into a learning and idea sharing environment they enjoyed in their training years. It was also a means to provide access to materials to members, especially yarns.
Over 70 members of the association spanning 3 generations meet regularly to exchange ideas, learn about trends and look out for new opportunities.
The income earned from weaving has enabled them to support and contribute to the upkeep of their families.
