Sharlott Awe
Sharlott comes from Benin and moved to Wa.
She uses the standing loom which is peculiar to Benin weaving tradition. The strips on this loom can be as wide as 65cms wide.
Sharlott takes on apprentices – up to 6 at any time.
She undertakes commissioned orders and designs her own strips as well.
